Having explored Portugal's top surf spots, I also value a good wave of comfort when off the board. My recent stay at this hotel perfectly balanced luxury with value. The oceanfront view from the room was indeed breathtaking, and the spaciousness was appreciated. While the room was a bit tired, the cleanliness was impeccable - a crucial aspect after a day of surf and sand.The buffet breakfast was a highlight, offering a variety of options to fuel up for a day of adventure. The free limited parking was a bonus in this popular area with limited spaces.The amenities, notably the poolside snack bar and outdoor swimming pool, contributed to a relaxing stay. Wi-Fi was reliable, and the 24-hour reception ensured any needs were promptly addressed. While the hotel didn't boast high-end luxuries, it provided a solid value proposition for guests looking to enjoy beach access, comfortable accommodations, and friendly service - all essential elements for a memorable stay in Funchal.
